Hung out with Jason at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. All the bees were out, and some flowers were still around to enjoy.

Went on a short hike with Tim, Lisa, and Lucy on Saturday. Nice to get out, even on a crowded trail. The mass of people stopped at the falls, and it was peace and quiet beyond that for a while before we decided to turn around.

Went backpacking over the weekend at Ingalls Creek up near Leavenworth for some much needed self-reflection. The drone of the creek, as loud as it was with all the winter snow coming down from the mountains, actually turned out to be pretty peaceful, and was only interrupted by the occasional camera click. Although, it sure didn’t make it easy with the camera gear making my pack weigh nearly fifty pounds. That was stupid heavy.

Definitely glad I brought it with me, though, since being away from the city and its lights and being high up in the mountains paid off with a nice view of the Milky Way.

Went hiking up to Rattlesnake Ledge with the Todds today. I got to carry Landon up most of the way in a backpack. That kid gets heavy after a couple miles. His dad was nice enough to do carrying duty for the last bit to the top and on the way down. His mom made a nice lunch for us while we enjoyed the view. Made for a pretty nice day.
