Any opportunity to get some fun pictures, right? Christmas tree hunting turned into a fun opportunity to shoot in the snow, and if you’re any kind of photographer, you know how messy the snow can make your exposures. If this were any kind of professional shoot, I probably would’ve spent a large amount of time adjusting the shot so the images didn’t come out underexposed or blown out. Good thing I just brought my camera along for fun.

One thing the day made me realize, though, is that sometimes you need to put the camera down just to enjoy the time you’re having with your friends/family, instead of being worried about getting the nice shots. Sure documenting the event and getting just the right image can be a great feeling, but the quality time you spend is a million times more valuable, important, and enjoyable than that single still that you can only appreciate through a screen or on paper.

Just something I’ll be keeping in mind for the future.
